Senior Designer

Job description

You’re a designer with big ideas, and an expert in UX. Startup culture excites you. Creativity drives you. Bad kerning really bums you out.

About the Role

Design at Redstamp is one of the vital roles within our company, we value designers who can think critically, voice their opinions clearly, and collaborate effectively. As the Senior Interactive Designer, you’ll offer guidance, direction, and encouragement while happily rolling up your sleeves and diving into the day-to-day creative work.

Redstamp’s Senior Interactive Designer is not only a talented artist but also extremely passionate and confident in their ability to inspire a team of designers as they grow towards their full potential. You’ll offer guidance, direction, and encouragement while happily rolling up your sleeves and diving into the day-to-day creative work.

A Day in The Life

  • Work directly on product and client projects with a team of 7-10 extremely talented creatives (including copywriters, conversion experts, developers, and other designers) to deliver elegant solutions to challenging design requests.

  • Act as a mentor for other members of the design team, helping them make the most of their talents.

  • Brainstorm and collaborate with the Creative Director and Design Leads to help shape the overall aesthetic of our agency.

  • Foster an open and inclusive culture with a strong emphasis on collaboration.

  • Work with project managers to scope out timelines and requirements of design projects.

Who’s Redstamp?

We’re a mix of entrepreneurs, tech geeks, innovators, and creatives—most of us are a little bit of each. Together, we’re a hybrid agency that specializes in high-conversion design for fast-growing technology companies. We value a true work/life balance where we do top-quality work while on the job, but have enough free time to pursue our outside interests.

Sound good so far? Then let’s get into the details.

The Essentials:

  • 5+ years of digital design experience. Agency experience is a huge bonus. You’ll need a strong portfolio showcasing your UX knowledge, visual design skills, and overall mastery of your craft.

  • Adept at color, layout, grids, and typography. You are great at transitions and micro-interactions, and comfortable with a variety of design tools for both print and digital mediums: Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • You identify problems and implement solutions to get things done with efficiency, discipline, and energy.

  • Take ownership of ideas and are comfortable communicating design decisions and presenting to clients or stakeholders. You’re okay playing a lead role in client workshops, presentations, reviews, and pitches.

  • Be a team player, a natural and inclusive collaborator who can develop strong partnerships with other team members. You will help the project team translate client briefs and requirements docs to plans and strategies.

  • Competing priorities don’t bother you. You can organize your workload, focus on what matters, and get things done effectively, one task at a time.

Even better if:

  • You're excited to help build and shape the design culture at Redstamp

  • You’re excited to coach, mentor, and elevate your colleagues

  • You have prototyping and interaction design experience

  • You enjoy working with animations and After Effects

  • You’ve built or worked with design systems

  • You have front-end development experience

  • You have public speaking experience

  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, love startups and products and the culture associated with them

  • Competitive salary

  • A MacBook Pro, peripherals, and full suite of digital design tools

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options

  • Company lunch on Fridays and access to our delicious snacks

  • Casual office environment—you won’t see suits and ties here (unless we are feeling fancy)

  • Opportunities to grow and help build our agency with our founders and executive team
